Run a darts club tournament

Basic is free for small clubs (up to 10 participants per tournament) and usable permanently. For club championships with 20+ players we recommend PRO (€4.99/month) or PREMIUM (€9.99/month) — the latter often pays off already with the first tournament with external guests.

Groups + knockout. Participants are split into groups (typically 4-player groups), everyone plays everyone in their group, top-2 per group advance to the knockout. Semis, final, bronze match — a tried-and-tested format for club championships.

8, 16, 24 or 32 players work best — clean group stages and symmetric knockout brackets. SmartDart also supports odd player counts, in that case with byes.

A laptop (or tablet) with HDMI to the projector, a browser tab on smartdart.app/projection after tournament start. The layout is optimised for large screens, no colour calibration needed.

1× admin device (laptop/tablet) for overview, 1× projector device for display, N× player phones for scoring. Alternatively one tablet per board passed around between players.
