At a glance

The essentials about darts team management in four sentences.

  • SmartDart manages darts teams with a shared player pool, captain workflow and lineup per fixture — for friendlies and full league seasons.

  • Before each team match the captain sets the lineup of singles and doubles; format presets cover DDV, BDV and UK Pub League modes.

  • Per player it tracks average, 180s, checkout rate and match history, scored live across multiple boards in parallel.

  • Dart club and team features start from PRO at 4.99 €/month (up to 9 members per club; from 10 PREMIUM), cancel anytime — players join for free.

Built for the way clubs actually work

Roster pool

Add all club members once and reuse them across teams. Placeholders without an account work too — link the real account later.

Captain & roles

One captain per team handles lineups, walk-overs and approval flows. Club admins can manage everything across all teams.

Lineup workflow

Both captains submit their lineups independently. Cross-slot reuse for doubles is allowed (hobby reality).

Per-player stats

Average, 180s, highest checkout, leg wins — every match feeds the player profile so the season tells a story.

Friendly or league

Same team setup feeds both casual friendlies and full league seasons. Build once, use everywhere.

Who needs what — and who plays for free

Dart club and teams are a PRO feature — but only you, the captain or organiser, need the plan. Your players join for free.

You, the captain / organiser

Create the club and the team — from PRO (€4.99/month, up to 9 members per club; from 10 PREMIUM). A team league with a season belongs to the LIGA plan.

Your players

Are free in the pool — even as placeholders without an account. Later they link their own account via a claim — the series standings stay with the pool entry.

The opposing team

Joins via team code. Both captains submit lineups independently — no shared account, no app install.

In 5 minutes from zero to first match

1

Create a club

Create a club as a shared home for all your members.

2

Add members

Add all players (with or without account) to the club pool.

3

Create teams

Spin up one or more teams (e.g. "Eagles 1", "Eagles 2"). Assign players from the pool.

4

Set a captain

Pick one player as captain — they handle lineups and approvals.

5

Play your first friendly

Use the team code to invite an opponent, both captains submit lineups, kick off.

How a match night runs

From setting the lineup to a confirmed match report — four steps that hold up even when the club room is busy.

1

Set the lineup

Both captains pick from the shared player pool independently — singles and doubles separately, and a player may also feature in a doubles pairing. The lineup can be changed as often as you like right up to the start, so a late drop-out ten minutes before throw-off is no problem.

2

Score on several boards at once

Each pairing gets a board and is scored on a phone or tablet. Several boards run at the same time without anyone losing track — the overall score updates live, including on the projector in the room.

3

Submit the match report

Once every pairing is done, the match report is already complete: results per pairing, legs, average and 180s per player. No copying from paper, no adding up the overall score by hand.

4

Get it confirmed

The opposing captain confirms the report — four eyes instead of trust. In a league the board can close it out instead, and if a federation prefers, only the board confirms. After that the report is locked and flows into the table and the statistics.

Questions clubs ask us

No upper limit. Roster is your shared pool; lineups per match pick from it. Typical formats: 4 singles + 1 doubles (DDV) or 8 singles + 2 doubles (UK Pub League).

Yes. Hobby reality: you fill in for the second team when someone is missing. Leagues can toggle a strict mode if needed.

They work right away — only display name needed. When the real player signs up later, they can claim the placeholder; the club statistics stay with the entry.

Yes. Until the team match starts you can swap any position as often as you like — individual slots too, without redoing the whole lineup. Once the match has started the lineup is fixed; if someone drops out after that, the affected pairing is handled as a walkover.

By default it takes four eyes: one side submits the match report, the opposing captain confirms it. In a league the board can close it out as well — and if a federation wants it that way, only the board confirms. A confirmed report is locked and cannot be quietly changed afterwards.

No. In the club you can paste a whole list of names at once — one name per line, up to 50 per go. Players are created as placeholders without an account and can be picked immediately. Anyone who later creates their own account takes over their placeholder, statistics included, by claiming it.

Yes, that is exactly what it is built for: every pairing gets a board, they all run in parallel, and the overall score counts along live. The free Basic plan covers two boards, from PRO there is no board limit — with four or six pairings in a team match that is the difference between one and three hours.

Yes. There is a dedicated projector view for team matches: current overall score, the pairings in progress and live scores in PDC style. You open it in a second browser window on the machine driving the projector or TV — no extra hardware, no app.

Yes, without setting anything up again. The same team with the same player pool can join a league season at any time, and the players’ statistics simply carry on. You can also run both at once: league fixtures plus friendlies against clubs you know.

Basic is free for simple tournaments but has no club. Dart clubs, teams and friendlies are on the PRO plan (€4.99/month, up to 9 members per club; from 10 PREMIUM). A team league with season and standings belongs to the LIGA plan; only the league owner pays, invited roles and players do not need their own LIGA plan.
